Annual BICA Social

Our Annual Social and Raffle/Auction will take place this Saturday, August 12^th,  at the Tremblay Island, (map and https://w3w.co/micro.almond.recipes.  Please note there are shoals near the dock. It is recommended that you approach from the west and curl around the island to approach the dock vs. coming from the south and east…see image below)

Thank you to the Tremblay extended family for volunteering to host us this year!  The event is BYOB and please bring an appetizer to share with the community.  We are still accepting raffle or auction items; contact Celesta Bjornson at cbjornson@comcast.net. 
 
We are excited to announce three big auction items this year. The first is a half-day deep-water guided fishing trip donated by Roc and Carolyn Lariviere of Fishy Fishy Bang Bang.  The second auction item is a charcuterie board, accompanied with some cheese and nuts, handcrafted by Mary Lee Monger.  Last, donated anonymously, a DeWALT, double bevel sliding compound miter saw kit, never used, still in the box, and valued at $1,300.00. 
 
A few raffle items to look forward to are:

• A pair of handmade pottery mugs made by Sarah Monger
• A set of 4 wood dock cleats made by Jim Montgomery
• Hand turned salad bowl crafted by Larry Baker
• Pies and Tarts
• Gently used children’s water skis
• Dremel Multi-Max Tool Kit donated by Home Hardware of Espanola

We will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets again this year.  Winner takes away half the proceeds and BICA receives the other half. 

In the case of rain, the social will be held the following day.  We look forward to seeing you all at our last big community gathering of the Summer!
